When using job boards

Remember โ€” don't reject yourself before you apply! Apply to a job when you meet at least 50% of the requirements. Many, many, many resources explain why this is a best practice. If you want further confirmation โ€” reach out to your most recently hired teammate and ask if you can see the job description they were hired into ๐Ÿ˜‰.

Use Google to scan careers sites

Often, companies will quietly post roles to their career site and skip aggregate job boards. Use variations of the search terms below in Google to find these. More here. "react" "remote" "US" site:[<https://jobs.lever.co/*>](<https://jobs.lever.co/*>) "python" "junior" "London" site:[<https://apply.workable.com/*>](<https://apply.workable.com/*>) "react native" site:[<https://boards.greenhouse.io/*>](<https://boards.greenhouse.io/*>) kotlin OR java site:[<https://jobs.jobvite.com/*/job/*>](<https://jobs.jobvite.com/*/job/*>)

Make sure you set your Advanced Search Settings correctly to limit results to only those posted in the last 24 hours.
